VOCATION

Vocation Ministry Then & Now
For our older readers who attended Catholic grade schools: do you remember, sometime during 8th grade, Sister would ask your class who might be entering the seminary or convent? You'd look around to see how many future priests and Sisters were in your class.

Between then and now things have changed. In the "olden days" it was sufficient to have a note from your teacher to the rector or superior, and your parents' permission, to embark upon religous life. Today telephones and the internet are the tools used by those interested in entering religious life.

So how does one enter a religious community today? Click on the photo at left to read Sr. Carol's overview of vocation ministry.

God Tugs

Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?
